Frequently Asked Questions

How does mobile service work?

Book a service call, tell us what you need help with, and KinetIQ comes to your location. We inspect your bike, e-bike, scooter, trike, or fitness equipment on-site, confirm the estimate, and complete the approved work whenever possible.

What does the $39 service call deposit cover?

The $39 service call deposit reserves your appointment, brings the shop to you, and includes an on-site inspection with a clear final estimate. The deposit is applied toward your final invoice.

Will I get an estimate before work begins?

Yes. We provide an initial estimate before the appointment whenever possible. Once we arrive and inspect the machine in person, we’ll confirm the final estimate before starting any work.

Do you work on fitness equipment?

Yes. We service select fitness equipment including stationary bikes, spin bikes, indoor trainers, rowers, ellipticals, treadmills, benches, racks, and home gym equipment.

Do you service at apartments, homes, offices, and gyms?

Yes. KinetIQ can service equipment at homes, apartments, offices, studios, gyms, and other approved locations as long as there is safe access and enough space to work.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Payment options may include card, digital payment, or other approved payment methods. Final payment is due once the approved service is complete.

Is the service call deposit refundable?

The Mobile Service Call is non-refundable once we’ve arrived at your location. This fee is applied toward your final invoice and covers the Mobile Service Fee, which helps us bring the shop, tools, and professional service directly to you.

Think of it as our minimum call-out fee — whether the repair is small, complex, or somewhere in between.

What if my bike, e-bike, scooter, or trike needs parts?

If parts are needed, we’ll explain what is required and provide pricing before ordering or installing anything. If we’re able to identify the correct parts before your appointment using the photos and information you send us, we may order them ahead of time with your approval.

If the issue cannot be fully identified by photo or phone before we arrive, your Mobile Service Call will include an on-site inspection, estimate, and help sourcing the parts needed for your repair.

Do you bring parts with you?

We carry many common tools and supplies, but not every part fits every machine. Some parts may need to be ordered before or after the appointment depending on your equipment.

Do I need to be present during the appointment?

No, all we ask is that your machine is readily accessible to us. We will contact you after we review the machine to confirm the estimate, and get approval before work begins.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule. Service call deposits may be non-refundable depending on timing and whether KinetIQ has already arrived on-site.

Do I need to know exactly what service I need before booking?

No. If you are not sure what your machine needs, book a service call and we’ll inspect it on-site. We’ll explain what we find, give you a clear estimate, and get your approval before moving forward.

Do you service e-bikes and e-scooters?

Yes. KinetIQ services many common e-bike and e-scooter needs, including flats, brakes, drivetrains, assemblies, safety checks, wiring checks, display issues, throttle concerns, pedal assist concerns, and general diagnostics.

Can you complete every repair on the first visit?

Many repairs can be completed during the first visit. Some repairs may require special-order parts, deeper diagnostics, manufacturer-specific components, or a follow-up appointment. Most electrical issues will call for 2 visits, one being a diagnostic and the follow-up being an installation.

What areas do you service?

KinetIQ provides mobile service throughout the Atlanta area. Additional travel charges may apply outside the standard service area.
